For over 20 years now the Bühlertal Wine Weeks (‘Bühlertäer Weinwochen’) have been offering visitors an attractive mix of culture, wine, culinary delights and outdoor activities. The autumn colours of the hillsides provide a perfect backdrop as wine-lovers descend on Bühlertal and the surrounding villages to sample the new wines from the region fresh from the barrel and to compare notes with the locals on this year’s vintage. A full three weeks are devoted to the world of winegrowing and the enjoyment of tasting the finished product. Local vineyards, firms and other organisations put together a programme of events including wine-tastings, cookery courses, guided walks and much more. The highlight of the wine weeks is the ‘walk and wine’ event held on 3rd October, a national holiday in Germany.
